Summer is in full swing which means the kid's activities have quickly ramped up! It seems like we are always on the move going from one activity to another lesson to another outing, you name it and we're doing it!

Come check out a typical Saturday with an energectic preschooler and a busy toddler - the truth is I wouldn't have it any other way!

Face first in his stuffies bin.

Getting dressed by himself.

Heading out the door and off to the day's first activity.

Giggles during taekwondo class.

Back at home taking a little coffee break.

Next up - swimming lessons.

Time to cool down with some gelato.

Watching some cartoons and unwinding from a busy day just before heading off to bed.

The kids are asleep which means now I can have some quiet time, ahhh.

Family Day fun at Ripley's Aquarium: February 2016

For Family Day we took the kids to the aquarium and sought refuge from the freezing cold winter weather (-30 with windshield, brrr).

We arrived nice and early to avoid any crowds and it was well worth it as we all had a really great time! The kids enjoyed all of the exhibits but the biggest highlights were the sharks, the stingrays and the jellyfish. Take a look at some of my favourite captures below...

It's a new year and with it comes new resolutions, new goals and new photography projects!

This year I've challenged myself to participate in a "10 on 10" and share my pictures to my blog journal. So what is a "10 on 10"? It involves taking 10 photos of a particular theme, subject, style, or anything you'd like to capture through photography on the 10th day of the month.

This month I chose 'hands', more specifically my family's hands. Take a look...

Driving the kids to their Sunday morning music class.

Applying some ChapStick to Papa's dry winter lips.

Music class is over so it's time for a treat.

Checking my Instagram account.

Holding hands with my favorite guy.

Busy hands climbing the stairs.

Back at home and greeting our furry child.

Grabbing a healthy late lunch.

A hug for Papa.

Holding her baby.

December family session with baby Mia!

I first met this lovely family of three at my children's daycare. Their son and my daughter were both in the infant and toddler room together and have become best buds. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when his mom (who was 10 months pregnant at the time) asked me to take pictures of their new baby girl! I jumped at the chance to spend a few hours with this new family of four and capture some of those early tender moments between mother and child, brother and sister, and daddy with his little girl. It was a great morning and we were able to capture some great moments!

Here is the family's slideshow where you can see the full session with baby Mia!

And here are some of my favourite moments with this beautiful family of four!

Check out what this guy caught!

The family and I have been vacationing in beautiful Florida the last few days and enjoying some long overdue relaxing time together. So you can imagine our surprise when we saw this local (Brian Roberts) reeling in this BIG fish over at Port St. Lucie. To say we were stunned would be a huge understatement. Luckily, I had my trusty DSLR to capture the moment. Check out these photos and see for yourself!

Fall is in the air!

Hello Autumn!

For me October has always been a special time of year. The air is getting crisper, the leaves are changing colour, and the hoodies and boots start to come out.

We took the family to Sherwood Park the other day and the kids enjoyed playing in the park and going on a nature trail.

Here is my little guy enjoying his surroundings like the sounds of the river water, the crunching of leaves under his feet and looking for snakes in the woods (his idea, not mine, lol)!
